SMART HOUSE

In 2004 the AIE Council of Delegates decided to create the
'Home building Electronic systems and Smart House' Task Force, with the main tasks to: 

• Benchmark the existing education schemes in Europe regarding HBES and consider whether a
  European HBES education frame is feasible;
• If the feasibility of such a frame is accepted, establish a European scheme for education in HBES;
• Be an advisory task force to the Smart House project of CENELEC, in particular to the subgroup
  Installation and ensure comments whenever necessary;

- Provide an advisory service to AIE members on all HBES technical matters and business opportunities;
- Participate in appropriate related EU projects and affairs, raising the profile of the AIE,
- Raise awareness for end-users, specifiers and contractors.
